YMCA Choose To Move

A personal planning and support program to promote greater physical activity among older adults (65+) who are not regularly active.
A 6-month, evidence-based personal planning and support program that targets inactive older adults aged 65 and older. Working with a trained activity coach, participants develop a personalized physical activity action plan customized to each person’s needs, interests, goals, resources and abilities. Interested participants must attend a mandatory information session.

To participate in the program you must be:
  • 65 years or older
  • Physically inactive
  • At risk or have one or more chronic conditions
  • Medically cleared to exercise by your physician
  • Not a current member of the YMCA
