TAPS provides seniors with an opportunity to come together, participate in community activities, connect, support each other and take pleasure in life.
The Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS) is a day program offered to seniors with health and mobility barriers to participating in more independent programs. TAPS provides seniors the opportunity up to three times a week to engage in various fun activities, enjoy healthy lunches, and find connections. The program aims to empower seniors to make healthy choices, build friendships and peer support, and enjoy life. Every day has different activities to enjoy.

  • Physical activity programs like light, safe exercises designed for seniors, stretching, outdoor walks.
  • Health and wellness programs like sensory sessions, music & art, brain games.
  • Meet experts and learn about nutrition, managing chronic conditions, relaxation, pain management etc.
  • Lunch is available.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • 55+ seniors in Burnaby
  • Able to independently take part in activities
  • Currently unable to participate in social programs due to lack of support, transportation, mobility, or health challenges.
This program is for members only, with a program cost of $6 (for lunch) in addition to the BNH annual membership fee of $5 annually. Current schedule is Thursdays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Registration is required.
